26 Mar Miller Foundation Stands with Asian American Community
(Long Beach, CA) The Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation stands with the Asian American community during this time of national grief and turmoil. Our founders established The Miller Foundation as a means to help all children in Long Beach thrive through equitable access to health, education and the arts. Acts of hate against any race, culture, religion, heritage or sexual orientation work directly against our mission, are unacceptable and decried by our Board of Trustees.
The recent devastating loss of lives in Atlanta last week, along with the thousands of hate incidents perpetrated over the last year in our nation against Asian Americans amount to cultural terrorism, evoking widespread fear and intimidation. The Miller Foundation encourages those who can to speak up for change as we mourn for the families, friends and colleagues of those who were killed in the March 16th attack, as well as for all those whose lives are affected by acts of hatred.
