2021/22 Grant Cycle to Open with Major Changes

Attention Local Nonprofits, Agencies and Services Providers – Miller Foundation Grant Application Process Opens this Friday, January 15, 2021

(Long Beach, CA)  For the first time in its 53-year history, the Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation will expand its annual grant application invitation process to include all eligible organizations. For the 2021/2022 grant award cycle, we invite all organizations serving children in the areas of Health, Education and the Arts in Long Beach to apply for funding for programs that align with the foundation’s mission “to provide support for organizations serving the Long Beach community with emphasis on the health and well-being of children in need.”

Additionally, we have expanded support in our education program area from PreK-3rd grade to now include youth through high school.  Organizations serving students up to the senior year may apply in beginning this year.

Organizations who have received previous annual grant cycle funding need only access their Miller Foundation grants application system online to complete the 2021/2022 application and submit by March 29, 2021.

Organizations that have not applied previously for annual grant funding (not to be confused with individual, one-time donations or foundation contributions for events) may complete and submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to be considered for the application process. Your LOI will be reviewed and evaluated for eligibility based upon your organization’s mission and program information, to determine whether you will take the next step in the grants process, filling out the application and submitting a full proposal.

Letters of Intent are due by Monday, February 8, 2021 at midnight. To complete an LOI, please access our grants application system online by typing https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=eandlf into your browser and creating a new account.

To view eligibility requirements and important grant information, please visit our website at www.eandlmillerfdn.com.

Please note: Grant awards are for one year. Beginning with the 2024/2025 cycle, we will be requesting organizations* who have received annual funding for three consecutive years refrain from applying again for a period of one year.

*The six Miller Foundation heritage organizations are exempt from this threshold.
